The statistical information on the unemployed population is centred on the analysis of the population demanding employment. Registered unemployment is made up of those people registered with the INEM demanding work. The unemployed population analysed in the Survey on the Population in Relation to Activity (PRA) refers to people who, while available for work, have carried out active steps to seek employment.
