Analysis of the linguistic competence of the population in Euskera requires the establishment of the level of Euskera declared by the population of the Basque Country. The Population Census offers both an accurate snapshot and an analysis by stratum of the level of Euskera of the population, Characteristics quantified in this section include such aspects as the mother tongue or the language spoken in the home by municipality –enabling a detailed graphic representation- as well as the evolution of the global level of Euskera by province.
